The lesson I have learnt from the drama 'Rumplestiltskin' is that we must take full responsibility for our own actions. Lisa's parents want the best for her and in their eagerness to do it, they are being foolish. They brag about Lisa to the King, "She can bake the pies in the world and she can weave the most beautiful cloth and spin the finest thread." They try to convince the King about Lisa's ability to the extent that they claim that Lisa can spin straw into gold.
On hearing that, the greedy King is so perked up. he immediately sends Lisa to the castle and orders her to spin lots and lots of straw into gold. Luckily, Lisa has the help of the strange man, Rumpelstiltskin, who asks her for her pieces of jewellery in exchange foe the task done. Lisa promises Rumplestiltskin her firstborn in her haste to get the last task done lest she will be beheaded.
Lisa marries the King and blessed with a baby boy. Then comes Rumpelstiltskin who is here to claim what Lisa has promised him earlier. Lisa becomes worried and cries. Lisa's mother look worried. She regrets what she and Lisa's father have told the King. Lisa's mother cries saying, "Oh Lisa, It's all our fault. I'm sorry."
Instead of just felling sorry for their actions, Lisa's parents take full responsibility for it. They are all out to help Lisa at whatever cost. "Leave it to Father and me. We'll follow him. He can't have gone far." This explains that Lisa's parents are going to tail Rumpelstiltskin in the hope of finding out his name. They follow Rumplestiltskin to the woods even though it is very week dark and dangerous. They are not in the least worried about their safety for all they want is to help their only daughter. This shows their regrets and willingness to take up responsibility for their action.
